About Carson

CARSON is an 8 year old Portuguese Water Dog looking for a quiet household with active dog parents. He has some behavioral issues, so we are looking for an adult only home with one or two adults (no grandparents or in-laws) and an outdoors oriented family, who loves to hike, camp, etc. Carson is energetics and a lover of life and people 99% of the time. He is a resource guarder and has bitten several times over his life when somebody has reached in to pick up something that he was guarding. Most recently when the mother-in-law picked up a toy that he dropped when he was in an over excited state. Carson is very smart and very trainable, and these situations are very avoidable. Carson gets along well with cats and can be paired with a Doggy friend when introduced properly. He walks well on a leash with his head harness and has learned not to be reactive on his walks. He loves to play! Great in the car! A perfect travel, buddy! Has always been good for the groomer. And did I mention he loves to hike!
