About Montana

2/23/26 Meet beautiful Montana! She was found as a stray and never claimed. She is a very good girl. She is friendly and good natured. Gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. We believe she is a young adult, about 2 years old. We do not know her breed, we only have her looks to go by. She has just begun the Paws in Prison program today, 2/23. In this program she is paired with 2 inmate trainers who will work with her everyday on basic commands, leash walking etc and maybe even some tricks! They also meet with a certified dog trainer every week. Once she graduates, she will have all the skills needed to pass the canine good citizen test. She will graduate in 8 weeks. Sadly she is heartworm positive so we are treating that. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Montana is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays.
