About Murphy

This adorable little man comes from Newton County. He's around five years old and 18 pounds. Murphy enjoys the company of other dogs and likes to be held. He gets vocal when he wants to eat or go outside. Murphy is a strong heartworm positive, and has an enlarged heart. He also has an enlarged prostate which might be caused from a urinary infection. He has a frequent cough and suspected hypertension in his lungs. Poor boy! Hence, Murphy will be with us for a little while as we work to get him healthy. He'll be available for adoption, hopefully in around 4-5 months after his heartworm treatment. We'll keep you updated on his progress.
