About Boomer Jr

Hi there, I'm Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I'm about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I'm ready to find my forever home! I'm the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I've already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I'm super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play! I'm also great in the car—I'll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I'll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I'd do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious. I'm a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I'm your pup. I can't wait to meet you and start our adventures together! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
