About Eddie
Meet Eddie – A Gentle Fetch-Loving Collie Mix! Eddie is a 2-year-old, 45-lb Collie mix with a calm spirit and a soft spot for his people. He's the kind of dog who seems happiest when he can focus all his attention on his humans, which is why he'd likely do best as the only dog in the home. Although Eddie is being fostered in a home with other dog, they just don't capture his interest the way people do. In fact, Eddie doesn't know how to play with, but he does know how to herd them!Eddie enjoys a fun game of fetch with ropes or balls, but he's not a marathon athlete. A few good tosses followed by relaxing nearby is more his style. Thanks to his quiet, easygoing nature, he could also be a great fit for apartment living.Like many young dogs, Eddie is still learning a few house rules. He's currently working on resisting the temptation to investigate countertops if food might be within reach, and he's just beginning to learn basic cues like sit, stay, down, and paw. Eddie can also be a little protective of his fetch toys and prefers to play independently rather than share them for tug. With some positive training and consistency, he'll continue building great manners.Eddie has already shown he's a pretty easy houseguest. He's calm in the home, doesn't try to climb onto beds or furniture, and his foster believes he could likely sleep comfortably outside of a crate. If you're looking for a loyal, relaxed companion who enjoys playtime but also appreciates the quiet moments, Eddie might just be your perfect match. Toss the ball, share some couch-side companionship, and Eddie will happily be your biggest fan. PAW adopts to MD, DC, northern VA, and southern PA
