About Plum

Plum is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pit mix and a bright, affectionate dog with tons of potential. At 42 pounds, she's the best cuddlebug with her sincere love of blankets. If you hold one open, she’ll burrow right underneath for cozy snuggles!She’s house-trained, crate-trained for bedtime, and incredibly smart. Honestly, she might just be the future valedictorian of obedience school! Plum is very tuned in to her humans and loves learning what you want from her.This sweet girl has a playful, puppy-like energy and thrives when she has outlets like training sessions and playtime. She loves a good bouncy ball (especially tossing it for herself!) and will happily show off her “sit” and “down.” She doesn't have much experience when making new friends. She has mixed reactions with other dogs, and she does not have experience with cats or with children.Plum is still working on building confidence and managing separation anxiety, so she will require a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) and with adopters who are patient and willing to continue her training. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
