About Ruger

Ruger was rescued from a farm in Moberly, MO. The original owner let Ruger run and roam free; however, the owner's neighbor was not happy about this. Another (separate) family who does not live in the town, but often hunts in Moberly, MO caught wind that these neighbors were threatening to shoot Ruger if the owner did not keep him from coming on their property. Apparently, these neighbors have shot two previous dogs owned by this person. Therefore, the 'hunting family' who loves dogs was instrumental in getting the owner of Ruger to surrender him to Country Acres Rescue so he was not killed. Ruger is a very young, healthy, playful and sweet boy - he has so much to give a family who respects and loves dogs.
