About Arlo

To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Be sure to watch his video! Arlo is a 2yo male shepherd mix who was abandoned by his owner who moved away and left him outside when the temps were in the twenties. A neighbor lady noticed him and let him inside her house to save him and she agreed to foster Arlo while he awaits his forever family. Arlo is somewhat stressed, fearful, confused and needy. He's hesitant with strangers but warms up quickly. Not recommended for other dogs because he's fearful and reactive. Not cat tested. Fine with older kids, just a little too large and active for young children. Housebroken and crate trained. Medium-high energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house. Loves to be with his people, very attached to his foster mom who saved him. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, neutered, weighs about 50 pounds. Arlo's ideal adopter will be an active, experienced dog owner who is home a lot with Arlo. Without other dogs and without young kids. One who understands that Arlo is needy, lacks confidence, needs training. One who has a lot of time for Arlo and is committed to giving him time to settle in and helping him fulfill his potential..
