His former owners now face multiple felony charges, and Koa came to us quite literally on the brink of death. But his incredible will to live carried him through—and today, he's a strong, handsome boy who has overcome so much. While his body has healed, some of the emotional scars remain. Koa is still learning to fully trust the world again, and his journey is very much ongoing. He has good days and harder days—sometimes one step forward, two steps back—but he never gives up, and he continues to find joy in life's simple moments. What Koa wants most is love. He absolutely melts under gentle affection and will steal your heart with his quiet resilience. He will do best in a calm home with little foot traffic and with someone patient enough to accept him exactly as he is while he continues to grow.
