About MARGARET
Looking for a love story that grows deeper with time? Meet Margaret, a gentle, soulful girl whoâs just waiting for her person to help her shine. Margaret came to us as a stray, and while sheâs still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, sheâs making beautiful progress every day. At around 3 years old, sheâs past the puppy chaos and ready to focus on what really matters: building a meaningful bond with her person.Thereâs something truly special about Margaret. One look into her expressive eyes and youâll understandâsheâs a quiet, observant dog with a lot of love to give. While she may be shy at first, she blossoms with patience, kindness, and gentle encouragement. As she grows more comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine, and she forms deep, loyal connections with those she trusts.Margaret can be a little more reserved when meeting new people, particularly men, but with time and a few treats, she warms up and shows her affectionate side. Watching her gain confidence and come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding. One of Margaretâs favorite things is spending time with other dogs. She has done very well in playgroups at the shelter and truly enjoys canine companionship. If there is another dog in the home, a meet and greet will help ensure a good fit.Margaret is looking for a calm, patient home with experienced dog owners who understand that trust takes time to build. She would do best in a household with older children, ages 10 and up, or adults who can respect her need to move at her own pace. She thrives in an environment where small victories are celebrated and where she can continue to grow into her best self.Margaret may not be the kind of dog who rushes up to greet you right away, but she is the kind who will quietly and deeply bond with her person. If you believe the best relationships are built on trust, patience, and understanding, Margaret might just be your perfect match. Come meet Margaret and see if your story could be her happy ending! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
