1-Year-Old Rottweiler Meet this handsome 1-year-old Rottweiler looking for a knowledgeable and committed home. He was surrendered at no fault of his own due to his previous family moving and being unable to take him along. This young boy has a strong foundation—he is house-trained, knows basic commands, and has previously lived successfully with cats. He is a smart, capable dog who will thrive with structure and continued guidance. While he has many great qualities, he has shown some behavioral challenges in the shelter environment, which is not uncommon due to stress and overstimulation. Because of this, we are requiring that he go to a home with prior Rottweiler (or similar working breed) experience. An experienced handler will be best equipped to provide the consistency, training, and leadership he needs to succeed. We are also actively working with rescue partners to ensure he finds the most appropriate placement.
