In Greek mythology, Athena is the goddess of wisdom and courage — qualities this beautiful border collie mix is just beginning to show as she settles into safety.She was rescued in the nick of time from a high‑kill shelter where her days were running out. After such an overwhelming start, it’s no surprise she’s cautious with new people. But in her foster home, Athena is already adjusting, observing, and taking everything in with gentle curiosity.With patience and a calm environment, her confidence will continue to grow. We can already see the makings of a loyal, thoughtful companion who simply needs the chance to feel secure.
