About Polo

Polo is a fantastic dog with a loving personality. He's intelligent, playful, and thrives on companionship. He deserves a forever home that will cherish his amazing qualities. Just look at the video showing what a good boy he is. Due to the ongoing housing crisis, Polo was adopted from a shelter to prevent him from being abandoned. After fostering him and providing training and medical care, he is ready to be rehomed to a loving, stable forever home where he can thrive. Polo is obedience trained. He responds to commands such as SIT, STAY, COME, DOWN and LEAVE IT. He is also leash-trained, potty-trained, and has good recall. Polo has been around children of all ages. He was gentle, well-behaved, and protective around them, enjoying playtime and calmly interacting with them. Polo currently lives with Luke, another available German Shepherd (see his post on this site). He has positive interactions with other dogs during outings, displaying friendly and social behavior. He enjoys playing and responds well to social cues from other dogs. He also gets along well with other animals like chickens, goats, geese, etc., showing calm and respectful behavior. Polo loves interactive games like fetch and tug-of-war. He also enjoys puzzle toys that challenge his mind and keep him engaged. Polo would thrive in a home with a loving and active family, ideally with a fenced yard for playtime. He enjoys being with people and would do well in a home where he gets daily walks and attention. He could be in a home with other dogs or as the only dog, as long as his family is ready to provide him with affection and structure. Polo can be adopted alone or with Luke, his buddy, who is also on this site.
