Iâm Alyssa, the director of Aviary Creature Rescue. I started rescuing the animals of my parish when I saw that no one else was doing this around here. Thereâs very little support from law enforcement and no funds allocated to any sort of animal welfare or emergency other than our extremely small, understaffed and underfunded parish shelter.
