DITR's mission is to bring dogs in need together with the people that need them most - matching shelter dogs with people impacted by disability. We believe that the human-animal bond supports health and wellness on both sides of the human-animal equation resulting in benefits for the dogs and people alike. In order to accomplish our mission we carefully screen dogs in shelters with the goal of selecting dogs that appear to be a good fit for our applicants based on each applicant's lifestyl
